Dental Insurance
We accept most insurance plans and will gladly process your claim. Please bring the necessary information with you on your first visit. We participate with Florida Combine Life Blue Dental Choice/Choice Plus (PPO) and Delta Dental Premier (PPO). For all other dental insurance plans, our staff will take care of the billing so that you receive reimbursement directly from the insurance company.
What types of dental insurance do you accept?
We participate as an in-network provider for a wide range of dental insurance companies, including MetLife, CIGNA, and AETNA. For a full list or to see if we participate with your dental insurance provider, contact our Jacksonville dentist office.
We accept and file for most other dental insurance companies as an out-of-network provider at the time of your visit. We will take care of the necessary billing and paperwork so that you receive reimbursement directly from the insurance company.
How does reimbursement work?
If we are not an in-network provider for your insurance company, our staff will prepare and electronically submit the needed paperwork to your dental insurance provider. You will pay Alexander Dentistry the full cost of your treatment at the time of service. Then you will receive a reimbursement check from the insurance company.
The time it takes to receive reimbursement varies depending on the dental insurance company, but our patients tell us that the turnaround time is typically very quick. Some patients receive reimbursement within ten days. Most receive reimbursement within three weeks. Contact your insurance provider for specific questions about reimbursement.
Which procedures are covered by dental insurance?
Dental insurance is designed to be an employee benefit and offset the most basic and preventive care. Most dental plans base the allowed benefit on the least expensive alternative treatment solution. If your insurance does not cover your procedure or only pays a portion of your treatment, we can offer other payment options to minimize your out-of-pocket expenses.
